Trav n Kyle ROCK THE NOB!
May 24, 2009
Its no secret that one of my favourite gigs around is Orange’s famous Hotel Canobolas.
Not only am I lucky enough to have a Thursday night residency there with my old mate, the human jukebox - Beno McGarity, but I also get to do some Saturdays.
The Nob is THE place to be in Orange on a Saturday, and this weekend it will be Trav’s and my job to entertain the front bar revellers.
Woo Hoo, I say! Lets rock.
Trav and I kick off around 9.30pm.
Rock with Beno and Kyle @ The Nob

Beno and I are looking forward to another big Thursday at Orange’s famous Hotel Canobolas this week.
Yes, we have chosen to ignore the global financial meltdown, and are still getting good crowds on a Thursday to sing along with us, poke fun at us, or (please God) buy us beer.
Take last week for example - we had an awesome guest artist from the Cook Islands, who sat in on the bar stools (the bar stools at the Nob sound like conga drums, in case you weren’t aware) and pumped out a couple of sweet reggae numbers. It was too much.
Last week we trialled a few “new” numbers (well, new to us) including the old Dream Academy song Life in a Northern Town, and the Elvis Costello hit Watching the Detectives (when they shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot). Ah, only Elvis could repeat a lyric like that and still be cool
Come and join us at the Canobolas. You know you want to…………
Back to “normality”

With the Brooks and Dunn shows and the East Timor Tour De Force out of the way, I was glad to settle back into my routine this week.
We’ve had an amazing time on the road for the last month, but I missed all my family, friends and students, not to mention my Thursday night residency at the Canobolas Hotel with Beno!
I’ve played some amazing gigs and met some incredible people, but its nice to be home.
