By the glow of candlelight

This gig is the brainchild of the beautiful Penny Spencer, and is part of the Frostfest program.
In my first collaboration with Penny, I will be joined by my old mate Pete Thoms on percussion for a laid back session of some great cover songs.
Penny sings songs by Eva Cassidy, The Beatles, Dusty Springfield, Bob Marley and KT Tunstall - just to name a few. I’ll be doing a few of my old favourites as well.
Penny has worked in Australia and internationally as a singer, and recently starred in Orange Theatre Company’s production of Oliver.
I’m glad to be putting down the bass guitar for a moment to play some piano (don’t get to do that very often anymore!!)

Bankstown RSL with Jasmine Rae

Our next gig with the awesome Jasmine Rae will be @ Bankstown RSL on September 11, and we’re absolutely pumped! I haven’t played with Jas since July - where we played the famous Rooty Hill RSL and “The Haystack” out at Riverstone RSL. Both dates were part of Jasmine’s first headline shows, and proved that she is pulling great crowds in her own right.
Get on out to Bankstown!!
Trip-hop and other stuff

June saw me collaborating with some great people in the studio, including ABC recording artist Jasmine Rae, singer/songwriter/drummer Michelle Vincent and one of my colleagues from Orange Regional Conservatorium James Buchanan.
James has a complete flare for electronica styles, especialy trip-hop, and we have been writing plenty in this style.
Watch this space for a complete album from James and I, due out for Christmas, and featuring some awesome guest vocalists and instrumentalists.
Shanahan’s Family Hotel

The next show for Trav, Mish and I as “The Rock Sets”, will be at Shanahan’s Family Hotel in Bathurst on September 5 from 9.30pm.
We have been adding some great new covers to the show - incorporating classic feelgood pub rock songs with modern hits.
The Rock Sets is a powerful rock trio, featuring all three musicians on vocals, which gives us the versatility to perform covers from Sneaky Sound System to Pearl Jam
Rooty Hill Saturday, Riverstone Sunday

Hey fans of country music, and of Jasmine Rae! Mish, Trav and I will be the backbone fo Jasmine’s great new country show again this weekend.
Saturday sees us perform at the famous Rooty Hill RSL Club, and Sunday we will head West to Riverstone Bowling Club.
We’ve been working hard on Jasmine’ new show, which includes some great classic covers, and possibly a few surprises for the country crowd

Sydney’s legendary Rooty Hill RSL is where you will find me this weekend, playing with ABC Country star Jasmine Rae in the first of her headline shows.
Coming off the back of the Brooks and Dunn Australian Tour support, Jasmine has been touring regionally and working on the new, longer set.
We have some great new numbers in there, including Jas’ new single “Aint the same girl”.
Mike Carr and Peter McWhirter are also on the bill, and they’re both fantastic performers, so if you want to see a great country show, join us from 8pm at Rooty Hill!!
